ABOUT AYU
Dewa Ayu Larassanti is a dancer, musician, and singer who has trained for years in both Bali, Indonesia, and California, USA. Her parents are the directors of Sanggar Seni Çudamani, a Balinese arts organization based in Pengosekan, Bali. She has trained in traditional Balinese music and dance at Çudamani from world-renowned and award-winning artists. Ayu performs at temples all around Bali and is a featured dancer when on tour with Çudamani. She takes pride in her culture and her heritage and hopes to share them with others through teaching and performance.

Ayu performs with other organizations and is involved in
Balinese arts and in choir. When in high school, she was
active in the dance department, performing styles such as
jazz, \contemporary, hip-hop, West African, and Dancehall,
among others. She was also very passionate about choir, singing in the Chamber Singers and the Vocal Soul Acapella ensembles throughout high school while assisting her director during rehearsals. She now sings with and is the director of On That Note Acapella Ensemble at UCLA and occasionally sings with the UCLA Chorale. She has been active at Gamelan Sekar Jaya, based in Berkeley, CA, since elementary school but is taking a break while she attends UCLA.
